What is with people?

First, Monday, I am walking the pups and get charged by a dog that has attacked three other dogs that I am aware of. Pixie and Smudgee proceed to attack each other as is their norm. The dog falters and I kick in with "YOU GETTTTT!" in my inner bear voice. The dog ceases its charge. The owner is no where to be seen. The dog came from the opposite side of the building and I know it lives in the end unit. I walk around and the woman has her front door open with a glass screen door. She is busy cleaning and is clueless as to what has just occurred. I yell, "You need to keep your dog on a leash. I know it has attacked three other dogs and I will not hesitate to see that it gets put down." I am such a viper! She doesn't respond except to call her dog which proceeds to ignore her (great control there lady).  We continue on our way. I guess a letter to the association will be in order :) She may not know who she is messing with. The gal that got the GS lady to move out - LOL!

Then yesterday I take the pups for their morning walk, release them in the field (mind you I keep a close eye out in all directions for other dogs) only to have Pix hightail it back the way we came. Smudgee decided she should join her naughty mother. I had called but no response. Apparently, I hadn't gotten up on the right side of the bed and was a little growly. I walk back to find them eating bread. Smudgee takes one and runs. CRAP! All I need is for one of them to get hit by a car. Wyatt has decided he wants to be any where but around me right now which gives me pause to look at myself and think would I come to me - NO!

I get Pixie on a leash and already had Wyatt. Acutally he never made it off his before the naughties did their thing. Putting on my best poker face and voice. I play at getting Smudgee. Eventually, I get the bread or should I say what is left of it, from Smudgee. I tell Pixie this is all her fault and get everybody home alive. Kenneled everyone, grabbed hot dogs, a tug toy, the long, light agility lead and Smudgee. Let's turn this into a training opportunity. She headed down the slope so I said "Leave It". You could see the wheels turning. Have I said lately how smart Jack Russel Terriers are? She came t me and was greet with a hot dog and much "good dogging". We go away and then walk back by she starts down the slope and then without any word from me. She comes back to me.

Why do people put food out? It really doesn't get to what ever animal they intend to take care of.

Went to two HIRED classes this week. Networking on Monday which had a speaker that gave a session about Stress. It was very good. Wednesday was Resume Workshop. I have now reworked my resume and am waiting for the gal to give it a once over. I sure hope this helps. I submitted my case for financial help and am hoping to hear back on that soon. The counselor I was assigned said they can probably cover one class which is really good. I need to find a class that starts sooner than March.
