Gosh, a week goes by fast when on a Vicodin bender - LOL!

Tuesday was my procedure and I am once again cancer free. I look like snit but I am cancer free. Actually I look like a really bad bar room brawl. It took two tries using the Mohs procedure. The closure/reconstruction took quite a while. I think he did a pretty good job with what he had to work with. The nose is a hard area to suture. The area was about the size of a quarter - yes, a quarter. He had to cut up towards my eye brow to get skin to sew over the area and then stitch up where he had taken the skin. I am a lovely shade of fuchsia/blue/black/green and yellow. I don't think yellow has ever been a good color for me. The sutures come out tomorrow so I am trying to withhold judgement until then. I know I won't look the same and not in a good way. For the weak here is a view from the day after with a bandage on. I probably won't post the non-bandages ones unless it turns out to look okay once it is healed - a good before and after if you will.

I had to look out of the right eye at an angle to see. The pups' reaction was pretty funny. Pixie was most interested, to the point of trying to bounce up to my face. I finally held her and let her have an examination. She sniffed and then look sad. Wyatt, well, poor Wy Guy. He took a peak and a whiff and sat with his back to me and shook. I'd say he was thinking, oh, no! what will happen to me, pack leader down, pack leader down. Can't trust Pixie, what will I do. Once I threw the toys a few times he relaxed - pack leader can still function - okay, can deal with this.

So needless to say, the pups are bouncing off the walls. My one visit to Josie and Turkey day almost went south fast. Another horse caused her to swing her head and hit me upside the head. Thank goodness she missed my face cuz hitting the hard skull hurt like hell, so I can imagine what it would have done to my fragile nose.

So back at work today. Didn't want to be on the floor much today - I have been on the floor all morning. Oh, well what's a girl to do - gotta be the hunter and gatherer.
