The walk this morning was chilly but tolerable. Who would have thought the day would progress so nicely.
I satiated my addiction to CastleView, did a few things around the house and took the dogs for a nice walk to tide them over until my return. My main goal today was to see Josie. I figured the barn would be way crowded what with this unseasonable nice weather. Sorry Polar Bears!
Josie had her head in the feeder when I went to catch her. Only one person at the barn. Sweet! She was a filthy mess which took some time to clean up. J and K showed up and then barn owner. It was so good to see everybody. AT was there! I haven't seen her in ages. I still see her as a young girl. I really miss barn socialization.
Jose's foot cracks look good. She is holding up well barefoot. She hasn't grown out the nail holes yet. Time to order some more foot supplement.
We didn't have the best ride but I didn't have high expectations. It has been almost two weeks since my last ride. My horse is what keeps me grounded and I miss her greatly. My heart is heavy. If things don't change soon I will have to do the unspeakable . . .
I am feeling rejuvenated with my Mare time. The pups gave me a sniff knowing where I had been. Sorry kids. Sometimes I need a break.
My new favorite song is by Billy Currington, Like My Dog. Toby Keith's Red Solo Cup is one of the funnest songs I have heard in a long time. It really sticks in your head. Who hasn't drank beer from a red solo cup?
How strong are you? I know I am very strong and will get through this. Some days are much better than others. I am trying really hard. Going to networking get togethers and HIRED workshops. Now that I have full Internet access I will be taking all the free classes I can get.
It is so tough being at the age companies steer away from. I have so much to offer and am much younger than others my age. Waiting for my resume to be given the once over after the workshop. I think I have improved it. Will see what chica says.
All for now. Ride baby ride!
