I now have a total of 863.5 hours in the saddle with Josie. Won't be too long before I receive the silver conch and will only need 4,000 more hours for my silver buckle.

Josie and I had a lesson on Thursday. I needed a fine tuning. We had some problems with Josie popping her left shoulder when going to the right. I know I have been told before BUT I need to remember think shoulder fore. More mirror watching is in store for me. I can feel it but like to verify.

Pixie has been having a reaction of some sort on her skin. I was hoping a bath with Relief shampoo would do the trick. I remember she had some when I got her back last time. I don't know what it is but it sucks! Poor Pixie just looks miserable. I will have to take her to the vet before she loses any more coat. We know how she doesn't like to wear clothes and she will be needing some if she keeps going as is.

This week at the barn Wy and Pix started playing together again. I had mentioned before Wy has been a bit mean towards Pix. It was great to see them playing like old times. Pix got a case of the zoomies and the race was on. Wy is a smart one, knows he can't keep up so he waits for her to zip by again. Silly puppies.

The Mare has been very sweet lately. I attribute this to the decline of bugs, cooler weather and lack of wacky hormones being out of season.

Josie had a bit of build up on her dock. Tail washing and conditioning - check! I gave her a trim to keep her tail out of the mud that should be a constant any day now. It has been dry lately. I believe I see a difference in her feet after being on the hoof supplements. I am now having the internal debate in regards to putting borium on her. I think I will wait. She lost her pads last year and borium is expensive and I don't quite trust her feet yet. I will probably be kicking myself but I am just going to go with snow pads again. One must stand behind her decisions.

Life is warm and fuzzy . . .
