A watched bi!ch never goes in heat, is that how the saying goes? I had just given up and resigned myself to the fact that Pixie had decided she didn't want puppies and WOULD NOT go into season . . . when . . . I spotted spotting in the kennel!!! The pups didn't have a clue what I was so excited about but decided they should be very excited too. Immediate removal of favorite white work shirt and then monkey hugs and kisses for Pix.

I remember noticing yesterday that she was warmer and recalled she usually ran warmer with her cycle.

I called Pix's breeder J and as the cell was ringing, it dawned on me that my little girl was going to get pregnant. A total different feeling washed over me from what I felt finding her cycling to a slight misty-eyed sadness almost a sense of loss. But then J answered and excitement immediately crept in. I yelled (oops she isn't deaf!), "She came in season!!!!!!!!!"

J said she would need to call C, Amos's owner, to see when we would make arrangements for the big date. I was thinking I don't have to deal with the mess at all, well, she doesn't need to go for nine days. In the near future, I receive an email that indicates she will need to be transferred from J to C on Wednesday, April 15. Yippeeee! Only a few days of dealing with the little miss sliding around the house on her face, rubbing her back and sides to get those darn panties off. It is all good unless she comes across electrical cords which are usually attached to expensive laptop, lamps or radio.

Here is a picture of my recent effort to make every day earth day - a SPORKNIF. The creator calls it a spork but it is more than that!

Josie was wonderful! I rode with four others in the arena with one being a lesson and managed to have a successful ride. Must keep that snapshot in my head. Afterwards, I went across the railroad tracks with M and Moe. Josie looked around for the 4-wheelers but then let it go. Love my girl!
