Foul mood was still there a bit. Being it was Monday didn't help the situation. Thanks goodness the sun was out even though it was windy has hell. Since I generally am a happy person this weighs heavily on me. I don't like feeling this way. Wyatt has been giving me sideways looks - trying to read me. Toys are brought over to make me feel better. That's my Wy Guy.

Spent an enormous amount of money at the grocery store which leads me to think maybe it is cheaper to buy horse treats than to make them. Hmmmmm will have to do some computing as I bought a lot of other items as I am changing my eating life style.

I have plain Quaker oats, apple cinnamon oats, brown sugar oats, flax seed, bran, raisin bran, molasses, sugar, wheat flour, carrots and apples. I am ready to make a designer treats for Josie. I finally get to use those really cool industrial cookie sheets I bought before World Market closed down.

I have asked a few people at the barn who have shared their treats with Josie to give me their recipes. I searched the Internet and found a few more. I should have bought some sweet feed at the Waconia feeds store when I stopped by the other day.

I promised the pups a nice walk tonight and a walk they got. It was nice going out but coming back, a great portion of the way, we were walking into the wind. Pixie looked really cute with her face hair blown back and a determined look in her eye. For the most part, I was respected as pack leader. It gets easier the longer we walk and once there has been a little relief on the pup's part (if you know what I mean). A tired Jack is a good Jack. Quite the differences between the two, Pix being the sprinter and Wyatt being the endurance kind. On the way back, Wyatt continues walking at the same pace where Pix who wants to lead and darts around a bit, starts to lag behind.

I want to make a note of the fact that Sally Swift (Centered Riding creator) past way on April 2, 2009. She was just shy of 96. Her methods have been very helpful to me. I have both books but have not gotten farther than a few pages in the second one. What I liked about her was her use imagery to get the idea across. God speed Sally! Thank you!
