Still working on my Facebook addiction. I think I might have it under control. Rumour has it work will soon be aiding in this by blocking it. Darn it!
So to catch up, where to start . . .
Pixie is scheduled for her STD test. This still cracks me up but, I guess technically, thanks to Wy, she isn't a virgin any more. I keep looking at her trying to imagine her PG or for that matter with pups. I assume it will cause her to become more responsible. I keep seeing her as going to take care of the pups and then getting side tracked by a leaf blowing by or a creak in the house. Part of me wants her here to have the pups and the smart part says no J will be much better equipped to handle them. Plus the fact that I may not be able to let them go. One dog away from being the crazy lady.
Josie, Josie, Josie . . . we have been working on manners. I must say she is a sassy wench. Last night I had to nail her as she had nailed me. Must be consistent. I AM the boss mare!
I rode Tuesday and Thursday, I practiced no stirrups again. Almost ready to ask for canter, almost. Once I stop thudding around up there we both are most happy. I have been doing 10 to 15 meter circles in an effort to get her under herself and get contact. She is good going to the right but the left she does a weird thing - like a tilt. That is the side that has the goofy tooth but it is no where near the bit. I don't think I am doing anything different maybe I am not turning my upper body enough. Hmmmmm something to think about. I ought to lunge her in side reins tomorrow night. Will hope for a quiet barn.
Not ready to venture out on trail yet, with the warm temps during the day and chilly nice it is an ice rink every where.
The pups and I managed to hike to the end of the lane today. It was nice with no wind. The footing was horrible but, again, it was nice.
Josie enjoyed her Christmas present of mash with peppermint in it. It is very messy. The pups enjoyed it right a long with her.
Countdown to jumping saddle completion is four days. One week to get here. I don't know why I am so excited - I am going to be working in two point most of the time and remember how much it requires. Glutton for punishment.
Oh! Watched the Transformer movie - OMG - I love CGI. It was amazing :)
