Chilly and ice glaze everywhere. This is that time of year you wonder if it will ever end. The teaser yesterday gave me hope but this today dashes it. No matter what the groundhog sees we still have more winter. This January has been the worst since '94. I agree, totally!

Got hooked on FB in the am and finally dragged myself away to get ready to ride. We played around a few minutes before getting Josie. She came when I hollored.

The plan was not to get her sweaty. The plan failed. The warmer temps make it easier for her to get warm fast. I worked a bit on her right lead canter departs. She was nicer to the horses I rode with and then I realized most were her pasture mates. Friday night I thought she would kill Liberty. This went beyond if looks could kill. At one point I felt her hump up. I put a kabash on that right away. Later she didn't know where Liberty was and she whipped her head right and left to see behind her to make sure Libby wasn't sneaking up on her. Oh, Jooooosie. Thankfully Libby was getting a short workout. I am riding her forward and putting leg on in these situation and changing direction as fast as I can to get her mind off of it. She is becoming more of a mare these days.

I had to blow dry her as we were leaving late and I had Superbowl commercials to watch. The game was actually interesting, the commercials no-so-much. My usual favorites were the Clydesdales but the Mr. Potatoehead was HYSTERICAL! If you can you need to watch it. I also liked the Coke snatching one - just amazing CGI.
