Thursday, the girth didn't fit well but it did the job so I could get my first ride in the new saddle. I had it all the way up to the first hole on the first billet on each side. We didn't do anything fancy.

Friday, I rushed out to Schlatzlien Saddle Shop. Most amazing place, been in business since 1907 and located on Hennepin close to 35W, in the uptown area. I went to their 100 year anniversary celebration the other year. Anyhoo! I bought a girth and a new helmet. I have been admiring the one L has and decided since they were on sale to go for it. This gives me two new helmets. I will keep the Troxel in my locker for those days I forget my Tipperary helmet. I purchased one in a light brown color this should help with the heat during the summer. The girth is a Collegiate 44 inch very smooth, soft leather.

Friday night was pizza night at the barn so I figured I probably wouldn't ride. Someone brought Corona so definitely didn't ride. I ate so much pizza that I felt ill - just stuffed for the rest of the night. I have been dieting for quite a while now and it just tasted soooo good.

Turns out we got almost 4 inches of snow. I am very tired of winter. I loved seeing the grass even when it was brown. Soon TJ, soon.

Saturday night I set Josie up in her new saddle (correctly placed) with the girth. It took a few changes of settings for it to stretch and for the saddle to not be so fluffy. I think Josie really like it. We even canter a few times. Not something I normally do in new gear - yes, I know I am a freak. I think she really likes it. My leg was in a better position since the saddle was in the correct position. I haven't adjusted my stirrups to jumping position yet. Once the show on the 28th is done I will be focusing on starting to get Josie and me ready to jump.

Pix hasn't come into season as yet. Any day but hopefully after the show. With the snow the pups were all excited running like crazy and then stopping abruptly as the cold got to them.

I have started staging for the show already. I have gear every where. The fact that I am staying overnight adds to my nervousness. I must make sure I have everything. I have a standard show list from M and my handwritten doggie list. We will be okay. It is only overnight. We will be okay. But we are going out to dinner Friday night. Not we as in the pups, we as in M and horse friends to celebrate M's 40th b-day. We will be okay.

Contacted TurboTax regarding problem. Now we wait.
