Got out early so as to meet N and Jack. Wyatt and Jack got along beautifully. We went for a walk around the pasture and caught up. The pups went swimming in the pasture hole. Wyatt is funny the bee line he makes for the swimming hole.

My lesson ended up being postponed for 30 minutes. Took a bit of the heat off. It is a running joke at the barn on how I show up three hours early to get ready for a lesson. Even the newbies are getting in on it. There is something about me that people like to pick on me. As long as it is in good fun I don’t mind.

K really put us through our paces. The first thing is to relax my forearms, shoulders and hips. I am finally getting a left bend on the serpentines. We didn’t do much shoulder in but my angle is more consistent and correct. We did canter from the walk indoors for the first time. Only once did we get the wrong lead. I need to bend his head to the outside. When asking for lengthening I actually felt the surge. PJ was AWESOME. He would go forward and back with my change in the post. Higher for lengthening and slower and lower for more collection.

N asked if she always worked us that hard and I said lately. Between PJ being sound and more fit and balanced we are ready to advance. PJ so deserved his good boy apple. He dribbled all over Wy.
