Bravery or idiocy we will never know ;) I am contemplating riding Nisslers again but start out in the brown arena after warming up in the indoor. PJ is up but manageable.

It is about 5:40 when we head to the jumping field. We wander close to the fence with the blue barrels under and PJ is a little worried so we circle and I leg yield him closer and closer. He is still a little nervous but not out of control. So we turn the other way. With horses you have to expose each side to something as they handle things separately.

A car goes by and we are fine. Then as we start trot circles I don't know what sets him off but he spooks - running forward. I keep my composure and follow his head with my hands. We slow and return to the trot. I couldn't figure out what caused this. It happens again, no cause. Then a truck and trailer with a 4-wheeler in it goes down the road and I hear a PING. PJ spooks - this one I will give him. We return to work having him spook again. So we head to the brown arena for a little relaxing work and I then dismount before I am dismounted!
