I met J to hand off Pixie. Time flies when you are boiling in the heat and humidity. Pixie is scheduled for her c-section Tuesday, August 17, 2010. The pups will be taken two days early to get them before Pixie would try to deliver them. With last year's complications we are going the safe route.
Wyatt is sticking like glue to me. Just like old times. He tells me when he needs to go out. He tells me when he is scared (Oh, wait! That is already a day to day occurrence.)He is enjoying the extra attention. Still doesn't want to go out at twilight and checks for little dude down the way.
With all the humidity and heat, I have taken it really easy with Josie. My Thursday lesson was rescheduled to a very hot Sunday. Josie was dripping wet when I took her out of the pasture. We just did some trot and walk work. Spiral in and out - properly. I really need to watch the tape of this lesson. I spent quite a while cooling her out. I had ridden 12 miles a few hours earlier and was all done in and I don't have the hair covering she has. She let me rest the cold sponge on her poll and wipe around her face.
