I am getting Josie prepared for the schooling show. Before the temperature dipped again I needed to get her tail washed and conditioned and the stains off her socks.
She has misplaced her bell boots (these keep her shoes on) in the deep snow. One has been located but the other may never be seen again.
I am slowly pulling Josie's mane to make it look better and to show off her pretty neck. She isn't the biggest fan of this makeover step. This is after two different pulling nights and two small bags of carrots.
Should have done a before and after. Josie had venice turpentine stains on her socks and her tail was raggedy.
As she was drying, she had much to keep her attention. Here she is watching the driving cart being pulled down the aisle. Luckily the folks asked if she would be okay with it. We opted to leave the wash stall.

I must mention she was very good today. NDM hardly had to do any poking today. See she is a quick study.
The pups enjoyed the outing immensely as they remained free the entire time. Wyatt set up shop behind me in the wash stall while I washed and conditioned and then separated Josie's tail hair by almost a strand at a time. This was taught to me years ago. I don't normally brush Josie's tail and then do strand by strand starting at the top. Her tail hair is not coarse as it once was and untangles rather easily these days. Need to keep up with the tail care regimen.
NDM rocks the houuuuuuuuse!
