Hmmmmm! I really need to step up as far as blogging. I now have seven, count them, seven followers! That is on FB. Here at Blogger.com I have three.
Got my pearly whites cleaned Thursday. Besides being finished my favorite part is the polishing. I like the sensation and the taste. I love the feeling of clean teeth afterwards. My tip is to take some Ibuprofen before hand.
I have been incessantly reading Charlaine Harris' books about Sookie Stackhouse. The True Blood series is based on these books. Sookie is a telepath living in a world where vampires have made themselves known and are incorporating into the world. She is constantly bringing in new characters and makes use of werewolves, shape shifters, fairies, witches, goblins, etc. I really like her writing style. Sookie is an awesome character. I hope she makes it through the next books. She has taken quite a few beatings and has been very near death. Bill her first love is a vampire. No spoiler alert - I don't want to give anything away in case you begin reading this serious which I highly recommend.
Last night without a book to read I watched "Enchanted". What a cute movie. Love the chipmunk. True love's kiss - mmmmmmm dreamy.
Instead of soccer we all went to Pizza Ranch. I know, I know with trying to diet and exercise PR isn't a good idea. Man! Can I put away food from a buffet. I amaze and delight my friends. I can proudly say I went home and exercised and then again in the morning. You must pay my hungry friend, you must pay.
In efforts to save time and trying to diet/eat healthy, I made several chicken breasts on the grill and froze them. Great for salads, sandwiches or eating just as they are. I am avoiding eating out again and making good lunches to stick to it. I need to be good more than bad - I usually say, "You have to be bad sometimes to be good" and there has been more bad than good for quite a while.
Sunday I had to wait a bit to ride. We were going to try for soccer but it was too busy. The Mare was a little happier today. Not brushing mud off every where has improved her ground manners. I lunged her first since I hadn't ridden since Thursday. She was a little yahooey but not insane bucking crazy. Thus I didn't have any qualms about hopping up bareback padding it. We warmed up or should I say I warmed up with a little walk and then trot. She is really getting it these days. I am pleased with Mare. I got her to roll right into a canter, correct lead in both directions. The other day we had an issue getting the correct lead on the right canter. Not sure but think it is me as usual. I try, Mare, I try!
Amazingly enough her bell boots have been staying on in this deep mud. Around the feeders it is like soup. I am most fortunate when she has remained on this side or comes when I call. I have only had to put on the tall rubber boots twice. I sure hope I am not jinxing myself.
The pups have been very squirrely. Game on takes a different meaning with them. Much snuffling and zig zagging following the scent of this or that creature. They both need baths very badly but I just haven't had the time. Must make the time though, sleeping with them under the flannels can be a bit odorous (them not me). We have been increasing our walking distance. It is hard to find different ways to go when you have only so many outlets.
I have decided not to enter the costume class at the fun show. I may change my mind but doubt it. It will be fun to watch and I will get to vote.
Looking forward to a great ride Tuesday night. That is after I exercise!
Ahhhh but life is good today . . .
