OMG!!! The bad neighbor saga continues. On Monday I get home, go through the garage, get the pups ready to go outside, open the door and the pups walk a few steps and start sniffing around. Hmmmmm . . . dried dog dung - WTF! We continue on and I ponder what and then it dawns on me . . . could it be a coincidence? Could it not be her? Hmmmmm never had dog snit on the L of sidewalk and it is very, very dry and isn't piled, it is spread out and some is underneath the flowers in the planter - looks tossed to me. I had called the community officer just that morning to see if she had met with Chicky. Nope, hadn't. Wonder if my calling her caused her to try again and Chicky got mad. Something set her off.

The Association was going to start fining offenses. Wonder if they decided to fine for Wyatt being attacked? I guess the owner of the place said that other people's dogs snit on that common area. Sorry but it isn't mine. Did she decide to dump the snit at my place. Actually Wyatt won't even go up in that area now. So after thinking about it - the Comm. Officer said to call if anything else happened. I call to leave a message for her and am explaining to the person that answered that it could be a major coincidence but things seem to be escalating. She asks for the address of Chicky and mine. I give the information and then ask since I took pictures would it be okay to pick up the snit. She said no, an officer will be by. Shocked, I said oh, okay.

I wait a bit and sure enough here comes a squad car. I start off with saying how sorry I am to be calling in something like this and wasting his time. I give a brief synopsis of what has been occurring and then show and tell. I had a copy of my letter to the association handy and that will be filed with the report. When I mentioned the attack on Wy he asked if that was the attack in the park and that it was bad. I hadn't heard about that. My mind is racing - was it her dog, which park, is the attacked dog okay. Oh, yeah, concentrate on officer. He said it would probably make things worse if he were to go over there to Chicky's. I said I understood that. This will be just an informational call. Fine with me, one more documented fact of what is going on.

I must say I haven't seen the dogs out very much. I have had the windows closed and it is all I can do to get up in the morning with the sun rising later so I haven't heard any barking. I think I have hit the snooze 5 times. I can't wait for the time change - fall back is so wonderful.

Took the kids for a walk and filled in some of the curious dog folk on the latest in the saga. Really Chicky - just move out!

After a very stressful day at work I am delighted to be astride Josie the wonder horse. Our ride was spectacular. Our canter departs were very controlled and calm. We are making circles which is awesome. Our downward transition needs work - I am feeling like we are dropping into it. Must prepare better.

I just read that the schooling show will be held in the outdoor arena - yikes. Not ready for that - must practice but the skeets are so bad. Will make midday rides a must this weekend. We can do this - we have cantered in the updoor and will canter again.

Speaking to my subconscious mind - I am a confident, relaxed, talented and experienced rider. Josie is forward, obedient, relaxed, supple and has excellent tempo and rhythm. We are a great team, with confidence and trust in each other. Yes! Yes! Yes!

To my next ride then!
