Long day at the home office. Work has started on residing so besides the normal leaf blowing by, truck zooming through, mailman etc. The dogs were barking at hammering, crunching, etc. Good thing I was only on one important call.

Actually got out to the barn and got my horse ready by 6ish. Set the pups up in the kennel it was 87 by my truck thermometer. Wyatt actually wanted to go in. Usually he gives me the look. I will be good and stay out of the way, just don't put me in there.

Josie was very good tonight. She has her front shoes on now. It was really cute how I found out. The other horses were eating hay and the bottom tier horses couldn't have any. There was a hunk laying there so I picked it up and brought it to Josie, as I was walking up she took her left foot and put it towards me a little above the ground. Almost to say look, got my nails done. Hoping this will keep her from getting sore as the flies have started their annoyance.

S gave me a ride in her little sulky with Gurbai (? spelling). I couldn't help but smile and laugh as I held on tight. It is different than you would expect. A slight lurch with each step. The trot feels pretty good. He took a sudden turn due to a pile of hay bales that made him not want to go. We were coming back from our barn and she wheeled over a huge rock. So my first outing was a little exciting but way fun! I would love to get Josie trained to pull. Suppose we should focus on our canter work and prepare for jumping first. I will probably start doing cavelletti very soon. She will have no problem trotting over poles on the ground. This will get her engaging more.

I wish my jumping saddle would sell so I could get one that fits her so I can start working on my two-point position. It is a great way to get a leg work out and gets me more in tune with my horse.
