Had two wonderful rides in a row. Today was better than yesterday. I was going to try for outside again but Josie was a little edgy so I decided to stay in. We are really working well. I even got a few canter departs in without her getting wiggy. Surprise we are cantering. I am tricky, using a leg yield or putting her to sleep on a circle and then lightly asked and she is cantering before she knows it. She has been good on the left lead and iffy on the right. I have decided to keep her going in the canter even if she picks up the wrong lead. She has better strength and balance now so counter canter on the long side is no big deal. Eventually I will ask for more accuracy but not at the risk of getting her relaxed and loving her work.

The pups had a great time with their barn friends. Pix hasn't gone after a kitty for a while. Hopefully she got the point when I growled and put her on a settle (on her side) so she realizes who was boss (I try my best to be pack leader) last time she chased a kitty.
