I took yesterday off as a mental health day. I meant to get some stuff done but only got a few things done. Oh, well . . .

I drove out to Josie by myself. The pups had me all day it was time for some one on one with Josie. By the time I got to the barn the temperature was -7 degrees. I know I am hard core! Had to use a flash light to find her. I don't bother calling her from the barn when she has food in front of her. When I was about 30 feet from her, I called and she came to me.

Once I got her up to the barn I noticed a pretty good gash on the inside of her right hind. No stitches necessary but pretty darn close. I doctored her up and was going to ride her bareback but we have been having mounting block issues so I decided to saddle her up. I mainly walked her. She felt fine. I did about three quarters of the arena both directions at the trot. She is sound so I am not going to worry.
