Today I was to have an MRI but in the mail Saturday I received a letter from the insurance saying it was out of network, blah, blah, will cost me more out of pocket (see what catchs my eye!) blah, blah, blah.
I left a message for the surgeon, when she called me back I told her what had happened and then asked if it was really necessary if I had pretty much decided to have the bilateral mastectomy. She said no. So I will have that done and on the right side they will take the sentinal lymph node. I am now scheduled for January 2, drop off at 10 and surgery at 12:30 - my popular slot these days. With the decision made I have felt a bit goofy but pretty much under control. Control is important.
Nobody could go have a drink with me so I went home and we went hunting. Lots of evidence but no prey. I had a couple beers after to relax.
