I am an official Cross Creeker. I was given a black vest with Cross Creek Stables embroidered on it. Very lovely.

Josie was up at the barn when I loaded my stuff. I thought oh she will be at the far end when I am ready for her. I get down there after staging and putting the dogs away and she isn't in sight. I call her name and whistle her tune and she came trotting. What a glorious feeling! We had a wonderful ride. She spooked a bit at the white plastic jumping blocks as they were leaning against the fence but she soon got over it. She is getting better at following my posting to speed up and slow down. I have to watch her, she has the tendency to want to root when I give her the reins. After doing some work, she is very welcoming of a break and walks with her head way down, stretching her back.

She was much better at bending today. I didn't note exactly how long I rode but I managed to keep her from getting sweaty and achieving success.
