Truly unemployed now

Smudgee's birthday and the last day of my severance fell on the same day. I am trying to keep it together and be in charge. It is hard.

The furnace is installed and the air circulates through the house much better now. It is nice that it is bought and paid for. Still waiting for their final inspection so I can have the city do their inspection.

Smudgee is doing very well in class. I practiced with her more this week. We need a better connection. She wants to go off and sniff around for food. With the success I have experienced with Pixie on the new Iams, I am switching the Smudginator to it. She felt a little peaked last week so I fed pumpkin with her food. She seems fine now.

I sure hope Joey Zorn comes through with a good quote. I would like him to do the windows. One company didn't call me back the second time and the other said they wouldn't be responsible for the siding - WHAT? You are an exterior company.

I sure am hoping I am not throwing money away and end up losing the house. I am holding off cancelling the phone so I can have Internet access (as slow as it may be), Netflix has to go. If I can just hang on until the car gets paid off which would be next summer. I have been preparing a couple of computers and a cd changer to sell. I do need to eat and have gas money. I am holding onto Josie as long as I can. Things need to get better soon.

How is that for timing, I just received a call back from Mark at Merry Maids. I am going in Monday to fill out an application. God helps those who help themselves and that would be me!

Suddenly I feel like going for a ride. Happy place here I come!
