Come on T get it together . . .

I am doing much better now. Time as always is the best medicine. Some Miller Lites for back up are good too. I spoke with my recruiter and am staying to the very end. Going for the help desk job that came up is not a good idea. Right now I don't know what a good idea is. I like what I do but now what do I want to do? Kind of flying by the seat of my pants here. Afraid of making a wrong choice. I am a plan person, must have a plan. Mind you my plans have been changing by the hour but this plan has held for a week - this must be the plan that will work. At least I can live with it.

Taking a week off work really helped. I have had more self talks than I have had in a long time. NDM 2.0 (new determined me) now :) Everything will be okay. You will survive this. You can do anything if you put your mind to. I CAN DO THIS! How can I make enough money to support us and still be happy. I have considered so many different jobs and shot down each and every one. What am I suppose to do??? Hey! Big guy! I am trying to help myself but I need a tiny bit of direction.

This past week I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted to in regards to uploading my resume, selling tv's, etc. BUT I did get new tires on Coal. OMG! It was so worth the money. It is quieter, less bumpy, safer and my gas mileage has improved and not to mention the rig even looks better. I am no expert so I had questioned the wear on the tires when I went for the 60k spa treatment for the SUV. Yup! Needed new tires better now than when I am unemployed and totally freakin'.

Josie is doing much better. We have made it to Quad practices and I must say we are doing pretty good. I realize Josie hates Quad but all the more reason for her to do it. She has only kicked out that one time but when we are in single file or filed as pairs are her ears ever pinned back.

Speaking of pinning her ears. The Mare has had her first full blown in season. Ick! Mares can be nasty. I thought she had a cut on the inside of her leg - nope just ooze making its way down her leg. I was thankful as that would have been a huge cut. I think she has bisexual tendencies. She loves Nelly but teases Frank. They now call out to each other. The longing looks back when we are leaving to walk up to the arena - young love, ahhhhh ;)

I started the Mare on supplements for her feet. The cracks that I have worked at for a couple years really went to hell when I was resting my tendons. We are trying Biotin 2X. Hopefully she has grown enough foot for the farrier to do what the vet wants. I have not been riding except for Quad just to not put too much pressure on the cracks and abscess and keep her sound enough for Quad. The abscess is closed up now. I have been putting fly wraps on her legs as the mosquitoes and flies have been horrible! TOTALLY forgot I had the wraps! Ya! DUH! Dumb Bunnie.

Here is Uber Mare modeling the Fly Wraps

The demonstration ride is this Saturday. We do not have a specific time yet but a meeting is scheduled for 6:30. Heather gave us all Salden shirts as she is sponsoring us. Black shirts and breeches, white pads and a diverse group of horses. I know Josie and I really have to move out for some of the threading and such to work out. I think we have been doing half steps which is the beginning of Piaffe and Passage. Uber mare is just, well, so UBER! We ought to look pretty good. Our name is something like Circus de so Neigh. One more practice and it is SHOW TIME!

Life is still good you just have to go with what you have. Chin up Chicky!
