Managed to do exercises again today - yeah! That tight tendon is already getting better. On another body note. I had a goofy sore knee a couple of weeks ago and all systems are back on go. Guess I will never figure out what was the cause. I haven't biked since then so will need to slowly, only after warming up, to try again.

I snuck out to Josie, leaving the pups alone. They had their day yesterday, even if it did end with a bath.

It was 6 degrees. Not bad, with a bit of wind. Face mask required for the walk to get her. She was laying down when I called her. Her head came up but she didn't get all the way up. I knew she hadn't been down long as I always look for her on the drive in. I opened the gate and called again, she got up but didn't come right away. I am happy to announce she decided to take care of business before taking the hike to me. It is a good day when I don't have to pick up pee. How do you pick up pee you might ask? With shavings - ha, ha, ha.

She has gotten better about the bridle again. That is if I don't mind that she bites various parts. What a goofy girl. After recent mean mom sessions, she is being better in the cross ties. She does do this silly one clomp with her front right. She doesn't paw, she lifts and clomps it. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Any correction I give her, she does whatever it is one more time. Kind of like to have the last word. Again, naughty, naughty. I took my time as there was a jumping lesson going on. I thought we would be okay but the gal almost ran into us once and another time ended up behind Josie. Hello! Turn!

Before my ride I was sorry to hear one of the other riders had been taken to the hospital the previous day. She received a mild concussion and a spiral fracture to her collar bone. No fun! No one knows exactly what happened - even her. They think perhaps her horse fell. Bummer! I don't think this news helped my ride at all.

Having given Josie two days off I took the ride with a grain of salt. Not expected too much. We tried some halts - OMG they were horrible. By the end we were doing much better. Special note - I didn't get a leg cramp today. Stretching and exercise is good.

Played with the pups for a good hour to make up for my absence. Nothing like grimy, soggy toys to throw over and over. Wyatt use to have a dry mouth - don't know what happened there. The squeakers are getting a little bit more quiet these days. Ellie Elephant has lost her tail and nose so no more noise out of that one. Pixie doesn't like it if I put the toy under the blanket. Her eyes say, "The object is you throw, I fetch. Now throw damn it!"
