Josie was clean and dry. Took a few calls of Josie and whistling our tune. She came slogging through the mud from the far side. She was in a better mood today. Her tummy must be getting use to processing all that luscious grass.

I tried asking for the left lead canter first. Her counter canter is so smooth it is had to tell what lead she is on. I tried three times (one of which she either bucked or changed behind), adjusting my asking each time. Trying not to get her upset. She settled back pretty fast. I even tried my reliable go down the long side on the right rein, do a turn on the haunches and ask for the left lead - BIG NEGATIVE! She was getting sweaty but was relaxing quickly so I decided to trot both directions to prevent canter trot stuff again and walked her out. She was steaming a bit.
