After three solid rides I decided to break in our bareback pad. When I first pulled up to the barn and watched the horses in thepasture my first thought was uh oh, bad idea as they were milling around bucking and kicking at each other. Then I noticed two new horses and thought this could be a good thing. Josie may be tired from the new kids.

She managed to stand well at the hitching post today. Thank goodness. I couldn't take more of that pulling.

She let me lay over and swing over without moving off. After a few adjustments we headed for the barn arena. She obliged with one spook which left me with an increase in confidence. We walked and trotted to warm up. I asked her for circles and some did some serpentine work. All the while working on my position and could tell from her movements I was getting better balanced without balancing on the reins or gripping with my legs.

Josie doing what she likes best!

Josie and Pixie enjoying some Senior feed. MMMMMMMM good! Wyatt is lurking close by. He hasn't forgiven Josie for being so crazed at the hitching post.
