Went with L to Birch Coulee. Rode Josie in the indoor arena. Did walk and trot around the arena and then figure eights. We did turn on the forehand and haunches. Stacey rode her before I got on and she had taught her sidepass. What a wonder my little girl is. L rode the little 4 year old I had ridden and had a wonderful time. After riding in the arena for a while we went out on trail. I can't believe how relaxed I am with Josie. I so deserve a great horse and she is it! We went up and down hills, through the water. I need to control her distance following another horse. She likes nose to tail - most horses don't appreciate that. We wound our way through some trees and over logs. S had us walk her through these two huge rocks. She didn't want to go but with some coaxing she went through. I then said let's do it again and she was more willing. We halted inbetween at Stacey's recommendation. We then finished through. There was a large rock wall so I had her walk up to it. She seemed to think I wanted to go up it. No, just up to it and stand.
Two weeks of waiting left!
