Lunged PJ on Wednesday and he actually appeared sound. I am giving him a couple more days and will ride either Friday or Saturday. I am going to keep him in a paddock for a while. He has adjusted to it and hasn't tried running off on me lately.
Jack is a bit interesting and sly. He goes to bite my feet when I am brushing. Wouldn't let me pick up his feet and Gawd forbid you try doing ANYTHING when the dinner cart is rolling around. Reminds of the days with Senda. I did manage to get him ready and warmed up. L was jumping so I kept him on a circle for the most part. He is still testing me. I couldn't figure out how to canter him - I guess well trained horses don't need anything but seatbones which I am aware of but have only toy with. Jack doesn't need the outside leg back and step into the inside stirrup. I would ask and he would shake his head no you are not asking properly - what a school horse :)
Wyatt wasn't too happy with me as once we got to the barn he got to run for a few minutes before being put in his kennel. I made a point of playing in the fog and dark after riding. Wyatt is amazing when it comes to locating the tennis ball in the dark. His little sniffer is really maturing.
