Saturday was not to impressed with the improvement. As a true horseaholic I will wait and see.
Lunged on Sunday - much better in both directions. Wonder if he associates lunging with pain he seemed better.
Wednesday will be our off bute lunge test.
I got to ride Jack on Sunday. Gee I hadn't ridden for quite a while. I prepared him in his stall didn't remember him being so difficult two years ago when I rode him after losing Senda. I then remembered when K showed me she had me ready him in the crossties. He is a little bit hostile - a good school horse. So with much brushing, treats and no JACK don't bite!, I got him ready. He takes quite a while to warm up and I was in no hurry as I was figuring out how to hold the double bridle reins AND a dressage whip. He tests you and sees if you are worthy. Apparently I passed the test, even the spook at the far end of the arena. The spook acutally bolstered my confidence. I did trot work and turn on the forehand, tried leg yield and did shoulder-in at the walk. I had heard he hadn't worked for a week so I didn't want to push him.
