Beautiful day temperature climbs in time for my lesson. Brought the camcorder. Wonderful footage. Caught PJ while they were up waiting to come in. Nice not have to hike for him. I don't mind the walk but if the herd starts coming up behind you it can get a bit sticky for a pedestrian.
PJ was oustanding during our lesson. He started off slightly off on the front right. K said to mention it to the farrier again. Might want to speak to Dr.B about Adequan again??? She mentioned his head I said for warm up I don't worry about it and then as we go on I ask for it. Keeping him off his forehand while he warms out of the front right.
K is trying to get us to bend left but not to over do. Today, it seemed like every time we turned around it was "canter when you are ready". She had me sit more. To the left he didn't want to. She had us transition to the walk.
Good thing we had warmed up with a serpentine. We did a few of those plus shallow. When bending to the left I should leg yield out.
Our shoulder-in had improved. Got the right amount of angle. To the right is better than to the left.
Wyatt received horse respect training today. Kathy had me hold PJ and walk him toward Wyatt (little Mr. No Fear) and she cracked Wy one. We did it again just to make sure. It seems to have done the trick. Now if we can get him to stop his mad dash through the indoor.
BW E is the one to take pictures. Very concerned about background and getting a nice shot of the horse in motion. PJ was getting a little cranky about it after giving his all in the lesson but he made it through. The pics are wonderful. See for yourself.
