Snow and more cold

The cycle continues a little snow a lot of cold, rinse and repeat.

Checked out a new store last week, Bone Adventure which is a wonderful little store. The store I would like to own. I saw collars I have never seen before. I picked up a brick colored martingale with fleece on the inside for Smudgin. Smudgin HATES it! She doesn't want to come near me when I want to put it on her. She has been okay with using Pix's leather one. What the heck is the difference besides smell. She is way tooooo smart.

The poor little dear has had the runs since Saturday. Saturday night I started her on rice, Sunday am she was a bit better and by Sunday night it was much better. I was worried about going to work and leaving her. At least these were runs she had control of. The bell was ringing a bit though.

Smudgee has displayed a bit of possessiveness about sitting on me and growling if Wyatt wants to join. I have been letting her know that that is not acceptable behavior and it has diminished. Wyatt is very appreciative. He has been walking on egg shells lately.

Josie was so happy to see me she left her hay and came trotting, that is it might be slippery trotting so she looked a bit like a pony. While getting her ready she was nuzzling my chest quite a bit. After being bitten I am a bit leery but she didn't pull anything. Hmmm absence does make the heart grow fonder. She spooked once at the dip by the garage door the tractor comes in at but otherwise was fine. We didn't do too much but the work we did was good. Oh, Mare! I so needed that. Thank you :)

I lost back that pound which is surprising as I am at 13 days no smoking. I was accepting of the fact that I would gain some weight. I purchased a 100 ct. Tootsie Roll Pops at Costco. That will keep me busy for a while. They were out of my usual bubble gum but having a different taste is probably a good idea. Another interesting fact besides saving money, I am getting back about two hours a day. Overall, I am feeling fine with a craving now and again which I try to divert. I would like to buy myself an iPad at six months - hopefully I will be gainfully employed so I can.

Went to Diane's annual Super Bowl Party. My first test of alcohol with no cigs - luckily no one there smokes. I don't think I am ready for any big tests yet. I bought one of the Costco pizza's for it. It was a hit. Diane loaded me up with left overs and wouldn't take any pizza. I will forgo the crust and cut some bad points that way. One couple bought mud pie - so much for watching my points tonight. I had over 55 for the day and didn't count everything - YIKES! There goes my extra points for the week and I must increase my activity too. Averaging 10,000 + steps throughout the day. I would be interested to see what running is like these days.

Making my medical appointments while I still have insurance. Two left to make. One of which I dread. Oh, well it has to be done.

Life is smelling pretty sweet!

Lotsa cheers and pats to you for giving up the ol' ciggie-poos! Stopping smoking is the very best thing you can do for your health. Ya gotta take care of that one body you have . . . it's gotta last you many, many, many more years of happy doggie and horse time! Keep up the excellent work on that front.
