Blessed Thursday! One more day to the weekend. Located a plumber to get a quote for my bathroom as I broke yet another handle. I am going to go with one handle for hot and one handle for cold.

My rebounder arrived today. I got it set up and started bouncing and Pixie was begging to come up so I stopped, she hopped on and I started bouncing lightly. She sprawled out but hung in there. Wyatt put is paw up to ask. Knowing him a barely made it move and he shrank down into it. I got the rebounder back to myself, bounced for a bit and then sat on it - suppose to work your abs that way. Both pups jumped into my lap without asking so I kept the bounce level as it was. In a weird way I think they kind of like it. I am most impressed with Wy's bravery these days.

Decided with freezing rain not to drive to the barn. I did The Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout which I had first done on Monday night. Oh, my! It was definitely easier the first time but I was wringing with sweat when I made it to the cool down. Mountain climbers were a bit easier this time. Mind you week one and two are for beginners no telling what is in store for the next level.

This Tuesday's ride was a bit better. There were two folks lunging which makes it hard for us to work. One Josie gets growly, Two I get growly and Three we can't do serpentines, etc. to get her mind busy and off attack mode. I stuck with it and kept at and eventually she quit wanting to be growly. Once we were down to one lunger. I was able to really get busy. While I am readying "Twisted Truths of Modern Dressage" I am trying some of the instruction and it seems to be helping. We finished up on an excellent balanced canter to the right. I got Josie hotter than I would have liked as it takes a while to get her dry enough to return to the herd. I had to blow dry which tonight she particularly didn't like.

Can't remember if I wrote about this before but we had an incident where she knocked me to the ground while I was putting her caveson through the keeper. Later when I let her go and watched the reaction of one of her boyfriends, I decided that she tried to get very friendly with me. This is a big no no! There wasn't much I could have done at the time as I was on the ground and moving away as she had fallen a bit on me. I did yell JOSIE! But in my surprise and shock didn't know what to think of it. I bring this up because on Tuesday we were walking from the red barn to the arena to get ready, I felt a nudge on my right shoulder, heard a deep nicker and saw her left foot come up. I immediately turned to face her and whack, whack ,whacked on her chest with the lead rope. She was surprised and backed up. That will teach you missy! I had discussed the first incident with my race horse trainer friend CR and she said we could try to recreate it. I was a little worried I wouldn't fair as well the second time around. But, Ha! Got ya Mare! I love you but you need to respect me and I ain't your girl toy. I have never had a horse do this and will continue to keep my guard up.

Looking forward to riding this weekend. I need to decide what tests we want to enter for the North Run schooling show.

Boucing is good!
