Worried about the mare. She came in without a front left shoe. My hopes of working on inside hand to outside leg dashed, I put on her bareback pad to walk her. I didn't notice anything wrong with her leg - yeah! While riding I reached down to caress her neck to reward her and she flinched. I narrowed it down to in front of her withers on the left. Then I noticed swelling over the top of her shoulder. I slid off and took her back.

After cold hosing, bute and linament she is comfortable. I hadn't noticed any lameness which is good. J said she is young she will bounce back. I asked her to call me in the morning if she seems worse. Giving her a couple of days before calling the vet. Please dear Lord let Josie be okay!

I must be vibing as Wyatt gave me sideways glances most of the way home. I self-medicated with a few brews and played on FB to get my mind off my little girl.
