Before writing my vacation update, I am writing this current urgent state of affairs. As my constant readers know I have had problems with a gal that owns a German Shepherd and rents a town home in the development I purchased a TH to live in. I have given up the common area and me and the pups either play in our yard or go to the barn to avoid any further contact with said wench.
Yesterday morning, Wyatt and I went for our short morning walk before I leave for work, I see Ruger (the GS) and avoid eye contact and wait for Wy to finish so we can continue along in the street to the path so he can finish business. I hear aggressive barking and think that is strange Ruger never barks at us like that. I turn and had to do a double take as there is an additional GS tied up to the TH.
This morning I took Wy out and see Ruger at the end of his chain (which is so long that he goes into the other end units area and maybe ten feet or more from the mailboxes) pretty much where he was yesterday. I don't even think the thought of the second dog even crossed my mind. Wyatt pees and we walk in the grass as it is raining and Wy usually goes quickly so we can get in out of the rain. So we are walking in the grass a few feet away from the curb "common area”. Previously safe area as Ruger's line didn't reach that far. I hear Chicky call Ruger a couple of times and then she calls the other dog and her voice is louder and a bit firmer. I turn to look and see this second GS charging Wy and I. Having had Jym I know the look of attack. Instinct kicks in, I kind of twirled Wy with his martingale lead so he was behind me (sorry Wy but I think I might have saved your precious life), the Shepherd kept trying to get at Wyatt. As he kept lunging at Wy, I used by fists to keep him away. I hear her continue to call this dog when she should have been there getting him away from us and yes, perhaps reprimanding him in some way. I was lucky I was vicious enough that he finally backed off. She proceeds to walk into the TH with out a word. Her superior than now attitude just annoys a person. I kind of yell after her - No, I'm sorry or anything - thanks alot! I am PISSED!
Wyatt is badly frightened. He doesn't like me to be mad and I don't think I have ever been that mad around him. I walked away to calm down and get Wyatt back to normal. He had his tail way down and kept looking back over his shoulder.
I am so glad Pix wasn't there as I know she would have protected Wyatt and me, meeting this dog head on and would probably have been killed or badly injured. She has proven in the past that she will protect Wyatt by getting in between him and another dog.
I have kept quiet (except for ranting on my blog and to my friends) about her. I have now placed a call to the association. AGAIN, I AM PISSED!
Rules:
No dog over 40 lbs.
Pick up poop immediately
Not to be chained out or left unattended
To be on a leash and under control
She doesn’t follow this. I had seriously considered moving before the housing situation went south and she was my biggest reason. I have kept hoping she would move on but NO! Now it comes to this event. I just knew something would happen and it would be my dogs that get hurt.
I left my message at 6:45, it is now 11:44 and no response. Hmmmmm police?
