Home Sweet Home! I have been house sitting at the mini mansion since Saturday. It is so nice to be home. Yup! I left the remainder of the meatballs sitting on the counter. Gee! I hate wasting. They were so good too.

Wednesday night I rode inside. Josie was a bit twitchy just coming up the driveway so I didn't want to have a tense ride outside. The gnats were already gnawing at us as we walked up the driveway. The track of the indoor felt like cement so we rode just inside. This is good training for a young horse as they like to rely on the wall. I have to ride every corner.

Josie was very impressive in her canter work tonight. We have reached a new level in our training. Besides leg yielding she is relaxing a bit more during our canter work. We are able to canter from walk and trot with minimal tension. After the transition down she isn't oh so anxious. With this in mind, I ask her for canter again opposite from how I asked her previously. Meaning if I asked out of trot then I ask from walk.

Josie has spread out a bit, the girth isn't going up as high on the billets these days. Now I wish I would have bought a slightly longer Albion girth. At least now I know what size she needs. Before I only knew a 26 was way too big.

Looking forward to our lesson with Cleon on Monday. With lessons so far between I have to rely on myself, books and listening to other people's lessons. I am still starting my rides without stirrups. The hug concept is working very well and really helps me with more leg, less hands.

I am currently reading Tug of War: Classical Versus "Modern" Dressage which compliments the DVD I so love and want the horse world to watch.

I really think Pixie is preggers. She just seems different mood wise. I have to remember to take it easy on her when we play. Reminds me I need to pull out the pool.

Went to Dr. B for a nose recheck. He said the little spot I am seeing is scar tissue - thank goodness!! He put a stronger roid in my nose this time. I am to go back in two months. This time I waited and made the appointment so I wouldn't forget.
