Forecast: Crappy, crappy precipitation, with continued crappy.

With the downpours at my house, I had visions of a most muddy and wet Josie. I decided to switch riding night to Wednesday and hope for the best. I brought my bareback pad along for which I was definitely glad.

Checking her white front foot and consulting with Janet, the bell boots have been removed. I will continue to hope for the muddy season to be over soon and that she won't get full blown scratches.

The pups were most happy to be at the barn. We helped in our little way with chores. Pixie had gotten the tennis ball from Em but from time to time I would see Em with the ball - most surprising as naughty as Pix can be. I choose to ignore both and not throw it. I think this is what makes it lower key for both of them. The ball isn't as much of a prize then.

Josie was pretty nasty looking. I just cleaned off an area to place the BB pad and bridle. Much to my embarrassment the mother of this daughter that has a very naughty Arab compared Josie's bridling problem to that horse. I have been going back to normal bridling procedure of putting my arm underneath her neck and holding her nose and she was being resistant. OMG! I am really on a mission now. I knocked Josie on the neck to get her to stop. She did thank goodness. I will be much stricter now. That is just horrible to compare my little girl to that . . . I don't even want to label him.

Josie has a scrap on her front right leg. Doesn't appear to be anything to be concerned with.

I probably will give her Thursday off and ride Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be less crappy.
