Cold as a witch's . . ., frozen tundra, icicles from my nose, freakin' cold out there! Snow drifted and the wonderful snow removal guys are hard at work at 4:30 a.m.; must . . . shovel . . . again. I feel like that one email that goes around about the guy dealing with the plow truck guy. One of my favorite emails as I can so relate. Can you say grrrrrrr (hmmm rhymes with brrrrrrrrrrr).
Gotta late night call from B last night. We talked and talked. So good to hear from her. She was so kind as to bring MN winter to the big WA.
Tried the Musher's Secret on the pup's paws - gee it really did help a bit. I figure it is extra moisturizing for my hands, too. One of those things that would be nice to do for them every day but I don't have time for in the morning when getting ready to go to work. The cold makes them take care of things faster. It takes two trips at least to get things taken care of.
Oh, dear Pix's little gland opened again. Back to hot packing and a call to the vet in the am. She can't be on antibiotics when getting bred or PG so looks like we may have to amputate.
Leaving the JRT's at home, I went slowly to the barn. I dropped of presents at the main barn and trudged out to look Josie over. Josie was happy to see me (and the big red apple I brought along). She kept nudging me with her frosty nose. She had a ice star between her eyes - very cool looking actually. As I stumbled back, she was plodding along behind me. Every hopeful of some more tidbits. Gently pushing her away wasn't working, the cold was creeping in so fine if you want to follow, follow. Actually, good idea as I like to know she is drinking water.
Did I mentioned the temp went from 6 to -1 in the time it took me to get to CC?
The drive back was okay until I got to 494 and 7. Be sat for 20 minutes. Three full lanes of traffic with a fire truck, sand/plow trucks and cop cars trying to get through. When I got up to where I could gawk - it was a SUV that had been on fire. I hope everybody was okay. Smooth sailing after that.
Turned on the Wii and played Twilight Zelda. What an addiction I have. I have to figure out how to totally start over change my name, etc. I can save copy and erase but start over - no clue.
