Josie had so kindly stepped on her left front shoe at the beginning of my vacation and with the farriers on vacation for the week following the fourth my plans of intensive training were thwarted.

Today she got her shoe fixed. She also received her West Nile and Rabies vacines.

I usually like to ride her when she gets injections so her neck doesn't get stiff but with the heat/humidity and her shoe having just been replaced I opted to stay home and play with the pups.

I finally got a planter for my remaining ficus. I couldn't believe how root bound it was. I was questioning the size of the planter. With those roots it was just fine. We got to enjoy our front yard for the first time in over a week. The siding is almost finished. I keep finding nails in the yard but they are becoming less and less. If I nitpick I can find things wrong with the siding so I am making a point to not look too closely.

The pups were very happy to play and take a swim in the little pool. Pixie has pulled a muscle in her left hind. I think her hamstring. I have finally watched the massage dvd and am starting to get her use to the idea of massage. She isn't one to just lay there. I find it funny they say to watch you dog for licking and yawning. She is a licker so how do I tell the difference? Maybe I can make some side money massaging once I get better at it - hmmmmmm.
