Josie and I are much more relaxed today and of course I showed up to ride! My friend M was kind enough to tape us. I wasn't sure how long the camcorder battery would last but we ended up with 30 minutes.
He put me on the lunge again. You think I would be use to it by now. Still spooking at the lunge line. Josie did very well. Once we were warmed up she was moving off better. I was hugging away with my calves in time with the swing of her ribs. For every pound of contact I need two pounds of leg. She and I were getting it. Once he took us off the lunge we did circles and some figure eights which showed the horse I know and love so dearly. He had me take more contact and she was very accepting. One pound with two pounds - got it. I was getting better bend and the quality of her trot kicked up a couple notches.
G Cleon's wife said if I ever decided to sell her she would take her in a heartbeat. C said she has some nice gaits but doesn't want to show me as it will make me work her harder. I said see I told you there was a better horse and rider than what showed up yesterday.
I can't express how much I appreciate M's borrowing me her trailer. It was nice to come and go as I pleased and have a horse that I could load by myself.
I will need to cut some portions of the dvd I burned and put them on UTube. What a team we are. Our first clinic day two was the success I had hoped for.
