Managed another day at work. Even though I felt tired. After having jumped on the scale I decided to start running. I made it probably a mile with pit stops for the pups and a couple walk/breathing breaks for me. It won't be long before I am up to at least two miles. I have ambitiously set February 29 as my quit smoking date.

With the warmer weather (thank goodness) I decided to bring the pups along for the barn outing. They were extremely happy to be there. I so look forward to taking them on the trail rides once I don't have to worry about them turning into pupcycles at the water crossing.

I had taken them down to the trail to the lake this weekend and Wyatt's face was priceless as he is out where he would normally be swimming and I am darn sure he knows it. His expression said it all - wow, this is cool!

Josie came trotting up when I called. We have been practicing canter, back up and whoa. She is doing very well. We got a few steps in both directions for side pass - very proud of that.

We had practiced with Norman the fake calf (stuff cow head on a frame with a skirt) and she did pretty well. We now have practices set for every Sunday but late at 7:30 p.m.. Monday mornings it will be hard to get up.
