I have the BEST friends. We start off with Nancy and Rena picking me up, getting me checked in and hanging out. Jeanne and Carol hung out here most of the day.
I didn't know but I had to go to Nuclear Medicine to have radioactive stuff put in that would move to the lymph node so the surgeon could find it. OMG! The most painful 5 seconds. Much breathing was done to get through that. I never want to go through that again - wait won't have to ;)
As promised, Carol's friend Bob took excellent care of me. Seemed like before I knew it I was in recovery.
Started out with a little morphine and am now on vicodine. Dinner was jello, chicken broth, water ice stuff and grape juice. I am starving!! I will get a breakfast in the am. I want these puffing things off my legs so I am now doing laps around the nurses station to keep my circulation and prevent blood clots.
The sentinel lymph node was clear which is awesome, no cancer made it that way. I got to keep my other nodes. I would be flat now. I actually feel really good either I am a tough campaigner or the meds are really good.
Well, all for now. Gonna take another lap and then chill for a while. I miss my pups!
