Had THE most wonderful ride today. Decided to ride trail. I started going around the outside perimeter of the pasture all was going well so I decided to head down the trail. I was going to take the dogs but the high winds told me, no, not a good idea. Just as well, we haven't mastered the dog jumping up on Josie to get across the water crossing. Knowing my dogs as I do they would not hesitate to take to water but this time of year - ah no!

Josie and I wandered around the trails. It was lovely with snow flakes falling around us and her clip, clop, clip clopping down the trail. We have yet to come across a deer. She is very interested in birds and for the first time we had squirrel action but she didn't react. We practiced whoa. I give the right aids (at least I try) and she slowly meanderes to a halt. Haven't figured our what the problem is. Riding is always a work in progress. We did a little off roading too. FUN!
