Dog day all day!

Wyatt had agility at 11:30. We learned the front crossover. So much to remember - have Wy wait at start line go to where you want to cross over hold right hand up to let him know I will be starting him, say RELEASE, dance with him (do the hand thing so he stays in front of me) and push him to the item remembering to stand up straight. I have to place him in the wait to the right side of the jump as the little devil would whip around the jump to the left. He isn't really fond of jumping. Looking foward to warmer weather to do jump circles outside.

We also did the real teeter, all right so it was just the bottom but it was the heavy board and had quite a plunk to it. Wyatt had no fear - give me my treats was his foremost thought.

The A-Frame he did well. I didn't have good aim throwing the tug through the hoop at the end, knocked it right over. Wyatt did a little pop over the apex of the A-Frame.

I had to leave Pixie in the back area in her kennel. I could hear her as Wyatt and I were working. She has the most annoying high pitched squeal. Gave S the owner permission to yell at her. It didn't seem to help. Will keep working on it.

Class went a little over so we were later than I expected for the SCJRTN Fun Day - missed out on the food - darn it. Wyatt did extremely well with Barn Hunt. Not quite what I imagined but close. Hay bales stacked up, tier of higher in the back and lower in the front with 3 tubes placed through out. One had Mr. Rat in it. He found the first one right away. I had to say yes or no. At first I wasn't sure and then I knew he had one and said yes. We even got my silent but deadly boy to bark at the rat. We had a second go after standing in the corner so we could see - Wyatt kept trying to peek. We found it again and he barked with some persuasion. Is it from telling him to be quiet at home?? Funny how it is hard to keep him from barking at noises at home but when I want him to bark he doesn't want to.

I just played with Pixie a bit. Mr. Rat was pretty cold and not moving. She was more interested in where other dogs had been. She is on the down side of her heat cycle. She is starting to act more normal. Thank goodness!

It was good to see my JRT friends. I asked P if she would help me with a beauty makeover for Pixie come Spring.
