Our FIRST schooling show and we didn't even have to leave the property. I gave PJ bute at about 10:00 my ride was a 2:40. We rode training level 1 twice. We haven't done any bending so that left the other tests out. She didn't do collective marks in the pm so my scores were 86 and 87. I am pretty happy with that. On our first test we got a 7 for our halt and proceed trot. The first time 6's on most items 7 for the walk trot transition. A 5 on the canter circle at E - "slightly irregular". On our infamous right lead I got a 7.

After instruction between the tests I kind of fell apart as I was thinking TOO much. Starting off with an 8 a 6 for our first trot circle, 5 for our canter depart and quality - HOLLOW (and I ain't talking hollaback). For the canter circle a 6 and transition 6 then 5 as we went to walk at C even earlier than the first time. I knew our HXF should have been better we had a six but I think I used that time for both of us to catch our breath (and me my nerves) as we aren't in the best shape yet. I did get a 7 at the walk to trot and then 6's on the next canter depart and a 7 for the canter and finishing with a 6 for the transition and 7 for trot and halt transition.

I could not believe the surge of emotion after finishing the first test. You would have thought it was the Olympics if you were able to measure my emotions. PJ is going to be a great campaigner. He will be just wonderful if I can get my snit together.

I rode a little defensively and her instruction was to have my sternum up and roll back my shoulders and elbows at my sides - you know just the BASICS!!!!

My funny moment was the second test I was concentrating so hard I tuned out the reader and kept trotting past E and then realized at almost H I should have circled and my face did a O! So I just started the circle and finished it where it should be.
