Lesson day has finally arrived. L came to watch - love a cheering section!

I warmed PJ up then K got on and oh my does my boy look good. I need to ride him forward and deeper. As usual it is more training me to do the right things. I had problems keeping him on the short sides but improved the more I rode. His resistance to contact can be solved by pushing him forward. I had kind of figured that out before but was afraid to push him. I need to close my hands to keep the contact on the short ends. She said I have been doing a great job of training him and that he has a good work ethic. It is understandable that I have been babying him but now it is time to work him and I just need to keep a feel for his front right. He started to tire towards the end and it shows up a bit.

I taught Wyatt a new trick today - I get on my hands and knees and he will jump on my back with the help of his beloved tennis ball. Eventually, I want him to jump all the way over. It was a little hard showing people at the barn as he was distracted.
